PM praises Hospital Radio
The Prime Minister has praised the work of Hospital Radio volunteers; eighty five years after the first service took to the airwaves.
David Cameron delivered a video address to launch Hospital Broadcasting Week, as part of the National Hospital Radio Awards ceremony in Maidstone. He told the volunteers: “We all know how unsettling it is to go into hospital and how worrying it is to see your loved ones there, that’s why Hospital Broadcasting performs such an important job. For eighty five years broadcasters have been bringing humour and fun to hospital wards and in that time they’ve given comfort to millions of people.”
