MP John Baron visits BHR1287

Patients and staff of Basildon University Hospital had a lunch time break with a difference today,when MP John Baron stepped into the BHR1287 studios to chat to Alan Newman. John spoke of his early career in the army, as a Captain serving with the Royal Fusiliers in Northern Ireland. He also gave his views on The Falklands War and the Iraqi conflict.

On a lighter note he spoke of his yearly charity walk that he organises. "The John Baron Walk"  takes place 19th May at Barleylands with support of many large organisations. A date for your diary not to be missed of a lovely day out in the countryside raising funds for your favourite charity.
